Tomorrow morning we head off for our second away match, against USC Freiburg. This town, happens to be 600km away. We leave at 9am tomorrow morning, on a 7 hour bus ride, and we play at 7:30pm. One of the perks of playing professional volleyball. Luckily we have a 50 seater bus, for about 13 of us, so we have enough room to sleep and stretch out. I thought I had done enough traveling for my lifetime, flying from Australia, to Germany, to Australia, to Thailand and finally back to Germany, all in the space of two months. Apparently not. Fortunately this is our longest trip for the year, and we are doing it early while we are still fresh and ready. We trained well all week, very hungry and ready to go. Our last training tonight was quite flat. I’m pretty confident we’ll turn it around. Big game tomorrow night, keep your fingers crossed…I’m off to Freiburg.
